Excellent fit and finish

Contemporary style combining old world craftsmanship. While they took a few weeks to break in, they have become my best fitting- and most complimented- shoes. And even as they begin to take on the inevitable though subtle patina of near daily wear, once you give it a good polish they look as good as the day they were bought.

Classy, but painful after a while

These shoes have a austere elegance. I like the elements of detail on the toe, but the rest of the shoe runs smooth. However, unlike my Strand, these shoes are painful on my Achilles tendon after a half day of walking around. They still work for sitting in meetings and walking around a bit.

Fantastic Shoe

This shoe feels a little wider than other 333 last shoes, although I believe that it is attributed to the lacing system. That being said, I absolutely love the fit and feel. I am certain that I will be receiving plenty of compliments on these outstanding shoes. The bourbon color is outstanding and a very nice compliment to my existing collection of AE's. Highly Recommended!

I just purchased the Flatiron in Bourbon. Great new style and a great new color.
This is my first AE shoe on the new 333 last. It is one of the most comfortable AE shoes for my feet. I have several pair of AE and this last is as comfortable, if not more comfortable, than most of my other AE shoes. It does run a tad long - the 9D was too small and my usual 9.5D was just a tad long. I feel like I needed at 9.25D, but absent that I would rather have a bit too much room than a bit too little. And being a lace up allows me to sinch them to where they do not slip.
I really like the style with the somewhat clipped toe. The Parkway was a bit exaggerated for me due to the toe stitching, but the Flatiron plain toe looks perfect to me.
The Bourbon color is great - between the Walnut and Brown - see photo. I think it looks great with pretty much anything but black.
