Bought a pair of new standards (one size down) several years ago @ $150 in their flagship in SoHo. Once it got broken into, it was the best fitted jean i have ever had, enough to rival $300+ jeans. At the time I would have recommended it to anyone looking to get into premium jeans - premium jean at a bargain. Nowadays, at $185, i'm not so sure if it's still a good bargain, there are just so many raw jeans available at this price range. Others like Nudie have comparable fit and goes on sale much more often than APC. I would still recommend to try it on and judge for yourself.
A very good, if slightly overpriced, choice for raw denim. Cut is fantastic and selvedge denim is high-quality, though construction is mixed, and I am definitely expecting a fairly high risk of crotch blow-out.
Be warned for those with larger thighs that, even though this is APC's least skinny/tapered cut, the crotch and seat area still tend to be quite tight. Expect to have to settle for a somewhat loose waist and a fairly high chance of ripping the seat.
With regard to sizing, be aware that these jeans shrink far more than average for raw denim and are also vanity sized, so expect to go down 2-4 sizes from "true to size". These should probably be as tight as possibly, especially in the waist, when initially put on, as they stretch quickly and thoroughly.
All that said, once stretched out and worked in, these are exceedingly comfortable jeans and they look fantastic. The cut and fabric of these jeans are vastly superior to many similarly priced competitors, particularly among washed jeans.
I heard many stories about APC jeans in the past and finally decided to get a pair myself. As suggest by many others I sized down two as these jeans are expected to stretch a bit. When I first got them, they fit fairly tight and snug. Eventually about a month or so they stretched out to a comfortable fit but unfortunately the stretching didn't stop there. Now it's slightly looser than I want them to be but they are still incredible jeans. My fade is coming along fine, I just wished I sized down one more.

Bought these for my boyfriend he loves them long lasting comfy jeans apc ;)
