My boyfriend got me these boots for Christmas, but let me wear them today so I'll review the one day I've worn them.
After reading countless reviews, here and on the Sorel site, that said the boots run small, I decided to order them a half size bigger (I'm an 8 so I ordered an 8.5). But, when they came they still felt a little small (especially with a bigger sock for winter) - and they also had a few scuff marks so I returned them for the 9. The return process was super easy - I did it over the phone.
The 9s came, today, and they fit much better. I love these boots so much, I've gotten like six compliments on them today at work.
My only complaint, thus far, is the area around the ankle / heel is a bit firm and thus kind of hurts my foot a bit. However, I"m thinking maybe that will get better with more wear.
Look-wise, they couldn't be better, I love the equestrian style and the mix of function, with the rubber bottom, plus the color (the gray/brown mix) is fantastic. I can't wait to wear these more! Unfortunately, I think bf is going to make me put them away till Xmas, after today - darn! ;)
I bought these boots in 2 different sizes after reading reviews that the style runs small. Normally I take a 6.5 shoe, and in this boot I needed the 7. My tip is if you are not sure what to order: a half size up is good for normal sock; might want to go a full size up if you plan to wear really heavy socks. Besides the tricky sizing, the boots are made very well and are so different. I love them and just ordered the same style in a 2nd color.
These boots are so stylish and go with everything! While they are true to size I might recommend going a half size up to allow for thick socks to help keep your feet warm.
I normally wear an 8.5, but had to get a 9 in these. These boots are cute, but a little tight around the calves. I am hoping the leather will stretch a bit.
