I returned two of them because instead of the gold color in the window it was dark, brown/black. In the directions it says when it turns black you are to change it. So I think they are OLD.
T3's customer service is HORRIBLE- they don't answer the phone- ever. I had to figure out myself when exactly to change the filter. The instructions are not clear- they say to change it "when the window is black." The window never turns entirely black however- but MOST of the material- except for the white dots- will darken. So if you're waiting for the window to turn completely black- don't.
The only way I knew I needed a new filter was by getting this new one and comparing it's color to the existing filter- then you'll see the color change.
Neither do I notice a huge difference in my skin or hair from using this- but my skin is slightly less dry- perhaps because it changes the make up the water and makes it easier to thoroughly rinse soap.
