The leather on each of the shoes are different and poor quality of leather being used

I purchase a pair of ABERDEEN WINGTIPS on July 3 and did not receive my order until August 14. When i opened the box i found that two different kind of leather being used for each of the shoes and the right foot shoe has poor quality of leather. I have purchased 12 pair of Allen Edmonds shoes in the past two years and i found that the quality of AE products are declining. Unless i receive a pair of 7.5 E ABERDEEN WINGTIPS with high quality leather i may not purchase AE product again.

Comfortable from day one

This is my fourth pair of AE's and I typically wear a 3E on the 7 and 8 lasts. On the Sanford, I found that the toe box was a bit pinched and it took several wearings before it became comfortable. Since I've never tried on a shoe on the 222 last, I was a little worried but went ahead and ordered the tan Aberdeens in a 10 3E . To my delight, they were comfortable from day one. I walk anywhere from 2 to 3 miles a day in Boston, and these shoes fit like a glove. They're solidly built and have the versatility to be worn with khakis, chinos, or jeans. They're even comfortable sans socks during the summer. If you have wider feet but want a shoe with a more narrow profile, the Aberdeen is perfect. Highly recommended.

These shoes are comfortable, rugged, but still dressy enough for most social occasions. The fit and finish, first rate.

Great shoe, great store experience

Got these shoes at the Denver store in the Cherry Creek Mall while helping a friend decide on a pair of Park Aves for his new suit. I needed something more casual than my Aldens and wanted a shoe that looked good but had a rubber sole. Not only did I have an excellent in-store experience but also the Aberdeens have proven their value. Although they are a little more narrow than many other shoes I wear, they are not uncomfortably so. The quality of workmanship is as good if not better than my Aldens (which were significantly more expensive) and I would strongly recommend AE to friends.
