My son (now 13) has been wearing this shoe style since he was 2. I first bought them at Nordstrom, and have ever since! A variety of colors have been on his feet, and we've settled into the nubuck brown as it meets uniform requirements. He loves them because there are no laces to mess with and the extra comfy sole lets these transition well to P.E. class with no need for a change of clothes. These shoes are absolutely great, and the combination of Merrell and Nordstrom customer service is unparalleled.
My boys (one 10 year-old, one 14) love these shoes. I have been buying them forever. They are comfortable, sturdy, easy to 'slip-on'. The black and brown colors are perfect for concerts and dressy occasions as well as daily wear.
My 8 yo son wore a different pair all last school year and we purchased this pair for this year. I threw them in the washing machine a few times, and they came out looking new. They tend to get more stinky than other shoes when worn with out socks.
