Almost Perfect but....

I have three pairs of Allen Edmonds. I've had the Patriots for a while but I don't wear them that often. I wore them to work today and now I remember why I don't wear them very often. The squeak! If they didn't squeak at the heel they would be perfect - but the noise drives me nuts and even grabs the attention of others as I walk by.

This product had potential but disappointed.

Let me first start by saying that these were the fourth pair of Allen Edmonds shoes that I purchased. I also have the McNeil, New Orleans, and Verona. They are all fantastic shoes in every respect. While I was looking forward to the Patriot, the shoes have been a disappoint so far. I wore the shoes two days and have blisters on both heels and red marks on the top of my feet. I hope these shoes break in soon--way too much money to not be able to wear them!! My other issue was the wait from the factory. I ordered the v-tread on November 15 while in a store and did not receive the shoes until the third week of January.

Perfect shoe in every way

I purchased the Patriot in dark brown and it's the best pair of shoes I own and I own many - AEs among others. It's sleek, perfectly made and already developing a patena. Fit is true to size / perfect.
Beautiful looking shoes!

The pair I received has frayed stiching infront and the "ridge" in the leather around the toe box is flat in parts. Not well made. I have not had time to bring this to the attention of the store.
