I purchased the travel set first to try Invati. I really like what the revitalizer does to my hair! Looks & feels thicker!

I purchased the Teavel set first. I really Like what this scalp revitalizer does to my hair. My hair looks & feels Thicker!!! I really like what this product pea for my hair!!! I will continue to use this product!
My hair is thinning due to the same genetic problem that many men have (it's just less common in women). Despite knowing in my heart that if there were a formula that really worked to stop the thinning it would be in a medical journal, I can't help but try things from companies that I like because...it's my hair. This doesn't work at all. At ALL. If anything, my hair loss has become more pronounced in the months since I've been using it. It smells great, though. Maybe it works for people who are losing hair for other reasons, but for genetic, age-related alopecia it unequivocally does not. Buy another Aveda product that works with the new texture of your thin hair instead. Pure Abundance has a better effect than this, for instance.
I started to the Invati system after noticing 2 small thinning spots around my crown and forehead. I had, note the word HAD, very very thick, curly hair. I used the Invati shampoo and conditioner 2x week (I wash 3-4). I had to buy the intense invati conditioner and mix some dry remedy conditioner with it at the advice of the Aveda consultant because my hair became so dry and tangled it was like straw. I used the scalp revitalizer 2 times per day which exasperated the tangles. Yet, I kept trying. After 3 weeks, I stopped. I have lost 2/3 of my hair in 3 weeks. Some areas are so thin you can see my scalp. To make matters wore, my scalp hurts constantly. I've been "off" invati for 3 days and my scalp still hurts so much I can't sleep. It hurts more NOW than when I used the product- and I don't know when it will get better. My dermatologist was at a loss other than OTC pain meds and wait and see..... I have read all the amazing reviews, and I have been a HUGE fan of Aveda for many years. Once I really dug through the reviews, I see I am not alone, but clearly a minority. I am not saying this will happen to you. But you should know that not only did this product give me physical pain, I am now insecure and self conscious about the fact that I have very little hair left and have no idea if or when it will grow back. Don't be vain like me. Accept what you have, show gratitude, and live your life. Don't try to change it---when its worse you'll be sorry and feel foolish like I do.
