Great Casual Shoe

This is a great casual shoe. The Ridgeway is a little heavy on the bottom when you walk but that's okay if you live in the concrete jungle. The shoes give you an appearance of a young professional who grew out of sneakers. The shoes look great with tapered pants. This is my sixth pair of AE's and I'm not disappointed with their craftsman ship and quality. The only run down with the shoes is that they are similar to the McAllister's.

Today, I received my new pair of Ridgeway in Cognac and Orange. This pair is simply stunning! My next pair is going to be in Black and Red!

Hard to beat!

I had bought these shoes quite some time before either wearing them, or reading any of the reviews. I have a pretty large shoe "collection", and I'd almost forgot that I had them. I quickly remembered whilst reading different shoe reviews on the A/E site, the first thought was "cool-looking shoes! The second was, "you've got them, "idiot". But when I read about them being 'heavy, stiff, uncomfortable', well let's say I was ticked with myself for buying and not trying. So, on they went, they were immediately "slipper like", no break-in needed, and I have really received some nice compliments. I know that shoes vary, and our feet vary through the day, but I can't understand a shoe feeling "heavy", and the other complaints, were, for this reviewer at least, unfounded. If they were suddenly "ruined" I wouldn't hesitate to buy them immediately. Great shoe!

Beautiful shoe that fits beautifully

This is my first pair of AEs and I was taken by the quality of the leather, the stitching and the overall look of this shoe. They are very comfortable and I got several approving comments this morning coming into work.
This shoe could be worn with dress slacks but it's best suited for what it was designed for- khakis and jeans. I would not hesitate to recommend this shoe.
