Had to purchase two pairs to get one quality product. Initial dark brown pair-leather was very soft and comfortable for immediate wear. Unfortunately, the tongue was sewn in twisted so had to be returned. Next tried the golden brown. Different quality leather-less grain-retained high gloss shine-stiffer leather, required more break-in, but was assembled without error. They will make a great multipurpose cold-weather travel boot...can be dressed up or down! Less luggage-great!

I have several pairs of AE, but these are the only boots. I was wearing a pair of John Deere work boots, which I used to highly recommend. These are so superior I will not go back to anything else. I was about to send these in to be refurbed, but since they are on sale, I’m just going to buy them again. (When you find a great shoe/boot, you want to wear them everyday.. )
These are , by far , the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn.

I purchased 2 pair of these boots in the last 3 months. The brown boots are awesome (style, fit and comfort). The Black pair look nice, however the boot is uncomfortable on the top of the right foot due to the cut of the upper. Hoping that wear will smooth out the issue.
