I've had these for a month, now. Pros: beautiful, soft leather. Light and comfy. Cons: if you walk on smooth, waxed floors, the Vibram soles squeak like crazy. The left cap toe sometimes dents in, and I must reach my finger in to push it back out. My AE wool dress socks keep scootching down inside when I walk; I must keep pulling them back up. Arg. I use shoe inserts; the Spenco 3/4 long fits nicely.

A great heavy boot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this boot thinking it will be a good dressy alternative to my traditional winter boot which is almost essential in deep Minnesota winters. However, they were not as dressy as I thought or the picture suggested. Do not get me wrong, they are a great piece of footwear, but they are very heavy, and industrial almost. I would recommend the Dalton for most people looking for a something to wear on a daily basis. This felt appropriate more for going outdoors, casual camping, or for going gardening, not for going to work. If that is what you are looking for, go for it.

Handsome, Tough WInter Boot

I'm delighted with the Longbranch wingtip. I ordered the dark brown "pebbled" leather version which looks right, takes a nice subtle shine yet projects a very tough but refined image. The vibram lugged sole gives good traction and looks great with the boot. The red laces add the finishing touch. Perfect with jeans or cords.
