[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots are very comfortable and well made. After searching for a versatile casual boot, I am very happy I went with the long branch. The leather arrives soft and malleable which makes the boots comfortable immediately.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone from Utah, a Vibram sole is absolutely necessary in the winter. These shoes have held up well and look good, especially with a double cuffed jean. Couldn’t recommend enough, keeping these forever.

Good shoe but very very SQUEAKY

This was my 11th AE pair. The size was true and these are fairly comfortable, but very very squeaky. I have worn this about 7-8 times, but still anytime i'm walking on smooth surfaces like an office or mall where the floor is tiled or even on hardwood at home it squeaks like crazy. As a result it just sits at the back of my closet and is not really wearable. Really disappointed with this purchase.

Thank you for reviewing the Long Branch and your writing about your concerns with the boots. Squeaking sometimes occurs on new shoes because Allen Edmonds uses authentic leathers such as calf skin. When two pieces of new leather rub against each other, such as the leather lining, upper leather and /or tongue leathers, a slight squeaking may occur. The fix is usually quite simple; general wear will eliminate the noise or you can apply leather lotion as a lubricant. Lotion can be found at AllenEdmonds.com, most shoe shine stands or simply visit an Allen Edmonds store and have a store associate apply the lotion for you.
