Big and clunky

I guess in retrospect it's clear in the pictures but as an owner these boots are kind of big and clunky, I don't think they're suitable for even business casual. The decorative overlay on the toe captures water and makes them less of a waterproof outdoor boot. They're light, which is good, but the leather doesn't feel very thick if you're looking at them for motorcycling or scootering. They're still keepers, but If I had to do it over again I would look more closely at the rubber soled Daltons.

Soft leather with a rich lookfor work or fun

I have owned about 40 pairs Allen Edmunds shoes for 27 years when working . Now retired I needed a boot that I could wear with jeans or slacks. The boots arrived today and I immediately opened the box and put them on and was absolutely impressed by the fit softness and comfort of the boot. While there are many boots that may cost less or more, they are not Allen Edmonds . I know from experience the boots can be refurbished by the master craftsmen at Allen Edmonds to like new. I recommend these boots for the person who likes style, comfort and value. When’s the last time you bought a shoe or boot that will last for twenty plus years?

Well Worth It!!!

I purchased a pair of 11M even though I usually wear a 10.5 M because I plan to use them as winter boots and with thicker socks. These are my 3rd pair of Allen Edmonds shoes, the first two being dress shoes. I've already been complimented when wearing these boots. I wear them with the red laces and with rolled up dark jeans. If you want to get noticed in a good way, then I suggest buying a pair. Allen Edmonds quality paired with a classic style means they are lifetime boots.

My favorite AE shoe

I have around 7-8 pairs of Allen Edmonds - from the Park Ave and Strand, to others like the Rogue and Winchester (now discontinued, sadly). The Long Branch is hands down the most comfortable shoe/boot that I've ever owned. They can be worn right out of the box with no break-in period and feel as though I'm wearing sneakers. I put mine on at the store and walked around the entire day without the slightest bit of discomfort. As someone who lives in a city where you walk all the time, this boot is perfect. I'll be taking these on my trip to Europe next week as my primary shoe.
Overall, the size and width run true to size (that is, I didn't have to deviate from what I typically wear with other AE's). There is a slight bit of room due to the type of last but it's not quite noticeable - a thicker sock does the trick, which will come in handy during colder weather.
