So I let my daughter have a sneak peek at her Dr. Martins before Christmas. She is thrilled with them! They are exactly what she wanted! They are extremely well made. The price was excellent too!
I'm usually a size 5.5/6 in boots so I ordered a size 6. While wearing it, my foot would slide a bit every step. I didn't like that. So I then exchanged it for a size 5--this felt really tight! It fit my my foot but there was just no room. Since the employee told me that it would stretch as I wear it out, I figured okay maybe I should keep the size 5. I had him stretch out the toe but it still felt really tight. Went home and walked around with it for a little bit and it was just uncomfortable!
I went back and spoke with another employee--she said that she owns 2 pairs of Dr. Martens and recommended I go with the next size up. If the boot feels tight on you, it'll just get worse for your feet in the long run. Plus, when they say the boot stretches, it's the toe that stretches and not the overall boot. So I went with the size 6 and would just wear thick socks. Still very happy with this purchase!
I love these boots. Very punk rock. I feel rebelious in these. funny I am wearing them right now as they were all the rage when I was in high school in the 90's. Looks great with Skinny Jeans, very light weight and perfect for Minnesota Winter/Snow if worn with wool socks. Breaking in is crazy though, the skin in the back of my right foot peeled and sore. Otherwise, Beautiful boot and looking forward to buying another pair of Doc Martens.
