These fit just as expected. A little roomy and room for thick socks. Be aware that the leather is stiff and requires some braking in time. Wear socks long enough to come above the top of boot till you've broken in the shoe. I had black Docs in the 80's and so excited to have a new pair. Lov my Docs.
They take a while to break in, but after you wear them for a couple of weeks, the shoe kind of molds to the shape of your feet. The cherry red color is awesome and goes with a lot of different looks. I've gotten so many compliments on them! Be careful of accidentally stepping on peoples' feet though... they're hard as cement.

Sizing problem?

I purchased these boots not knowing much about it, it were my first Dr Martens! After watching several videos I decided to go size down, as it also says in the item page. I normally wear size 7.5 so ordered a 7US, 5UK. Well, I've heard about having to brake it in and the your feet would hurt. This was a hole new level of hurting! Not only the top/arch part right at the tongue seam was SO tight but I couldn't wiggle my toes, I was feeling the tips touching at the front of the shoe. So I went to Journeys since my local Nordstrom didn't have the boots, and tried it on. The 8us/6uk fits perfect! It has a little room, perfect for wearing a thick sock and no need to brake in as far as thight spots, even though the leather still very stiff. I would say it runs true to size, 7 is a 7 and 8 is an 8. Love them now!
