Best Boots on the Planet

Buy these. Just buy these. You won't be sorry. All day comfort, stylish, just enough heel for a short girl. I bought an extra pair to keep in reserve...just in case they ever stop making them.

New favorite boot!

Prosfashionable, functional, sturdy, casual, warm
This is my second pair of Sorels-- the others are the regular Joan of Arctic snow boots.
This time I went with my true size (6.5) instead of sizing down and they fit perfectly. This model has surprisingly good support and cushioning, which is very important since I broke a metatarsal a few years ago and tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to heels. The toebox is roomy enough that I don't feel cramped, and no blisters at the heels. There's no lining but they are very warm and fit fine with trouser socks, tights, or sport wool socks (thin but very warm).
We had a recent cold snap (cold for this time of year) and it's been rainy in the MidAtlantic lately so I pulled them out the box and took them for a walk to see if everything I've read was true. It is: These boots have stood up to the chill and to a steady drizzle with ease. The tread is aggressive enough to give me confidence on slick surfaces, which means a lot since a few years ago I slipped on a patch of ice and hurt myself pretty badly. Probably wouldn't stand up to puddle jumping or snowshoeing, but they're not really meant for that anyway.
I'm not a particularly trendy person but when I first saw these in a shop window last year on a ski trip I just had to try them on because they looked so cool with all the rivets and such. They're surprisingly versatile and I get a lot of compliments-- my coworkers say I walk with a little more confidence in these and look 'fierce'. And while I'm perfectly happy being 5'3" the little bit of extra height is a bonus.
These have become my new go-to for fall and I'm looking forward to taking them for a spin post snowboarding next time I'm out West.

Perfection!

Prosversatile comfy
This is the perfect, all you ever need boot! Amazingly comfortable for a wedge; waterproof, warm, goes with everything! What more could you ask? It does run a half size large. I bought a 7, when I normally wear 7.5. Definitely worth the $ because I absolutely know I will get my $'s worth out of these! Well done Sorel!

Cute and comfortable, plus functional

Great boots! I'm usually a 7.5 in boots (to allow room for socks), and the 7 worked great for me. The leather is high quality, the soles are super-grippy, and the insole is COMFY. They're a joy to wear!
