I was looking for a dressier winter boot so I wouldn't have to always bring a change of shoes to work if it snowed. These boots are perfect. They are comfortable, dressy enough for work, waterproof and easy to get on and off. I love them. They are the perfect height for a wedge and very stable even in the snow. I had seen them in another catalog last winter, but thought they were too expensive. Once I read all the reviews saying the boots were well worth the cost, I decided to go ahead and order. I knew Nordstrom had free shipping (the original catalog I saw them in wanted to charge a large shipping fee), and I always received items fast from Nordstrom so it was a no brainer. I was not disappointed. I got the boots in only 3 days and the boots were perfect. I ordered my regular size, and I'm glad I did because I wore regular socks (not a trouser sock) and they fit perfect. I wore them to work the very next day (it had been snowing for a couple days) and my feet stayed dry and they looked great. If you are hesitating...BUY THEM!! Buy them before they are gone!
I bought these boots a few weeks ago and finally got to wear them in a NYC monsoon yesterday. When I got home, my socks were wet, particularly noticeable on both sides under my toes. I bought these boots BECAUSE they said they were waterproof. Super annoying, as the boots are expensive and as other reviewers have stated, somewhat "sparse" on the inside. The wedge is cute and comfortable, but I would continue looking for that elusive waterproof boot. This is not it.
So I won't speak to the comfort. What I will say is the other reviews were correct in saying a half size smaller was the ticket. I let her try them on to make sure they fit before I wrapped them for Christmas. They are pretty sexy, too. She's happy, so I'm happy.
