Best pair of winter boots I have ever owned. They are super warm and comfortable. They do run about a half size bigger than normal. I typically wear a size 9. I bought these in an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I have warn them playing with my children in the snow and walking through slush in a parking lot and my feet stayed perfectly dry.

This was a second option after the Artics didn't fit. The Glacy was a good foot fit, very cushioned on the bottom and comfortable. Unfortunately, with the fitted calf it left little room to squeeze in anything more than a pair of leggings, and since the calf size didn't fit it bunched up at the ankles and rubbed the back of my ankle. So this pair was returned, too. It's really too bad that so many of the Sorel boots have a fitted calf that don't allow any stretching, etc.

I have had my Glacy Explorer in black with the blue laces for almost a month now and I am so in love with them. At first I was hesitant about the blue laces and wished they had a different color, but they have grown on me so much. It is the number one thing people compliment, the laces! They definitely run big, like the reviews say. I normally wear an 8 1/2 or 9 in boots because I have a wide foot and my calves are huge for the majority of boots (Hunter). I purchased a size 8 and I almost returned them for a 7 1/2 but I decided to just keep them. My pants fit perfectly, I wear thick socks, and I still have a little room. It took me about a week to break them in and they feel wonderful. Definitely go down a size unless you don't mind a little extra room. They are very warm! I live in Chicago and we have had below zero temperatures and so much snow, and these boots have made it very easy for me to walk to work. They don't feel heavy to walk in, yet they are so sturdy and warm! I definitely recommend these boots to anyone who wants good quality tough boots, but stylish ones as well.
