Glacy Explorer - love it- but not for icy conditions

I love the comfort and look of this boot. It is a great cold weather boot that has super cushion and warmth. The only reason it's a 4 and not 5 is functionality on ice. NOTE: This is not a boot for icy conditions. I have found (the hard way) that there is very little to no traction on ice.

Warm and Non-Slip

Yes, they do run large. I ordered my regular size and added a sheepskin insole and they're perfect now, I can even wear them without socks. I especially appreciate that the soles are non-slip and do a terrific job on icy surfaces. They keep my feet warm on two mike walks with my dogs on our snowpacked dirt roads.

Great boots!

I ordered these boots as a second, more casual pair in addition to another pair of sorel boots that I have for sub-zero Colorado trips we make every year. I am a true size 11-1/2, which makes it hard to find boots that fit. Typically, they are too small in an 11 and too big in a 12. But, the long lacing system of this boot compensates for the larger size, and fit me great. I have just enough extra room to wiggle my toes, and the heel DID NOT slip. The Explorer boot is super comfortable. I've worn them all day several times, and even drove in then for 8 hours another time. I didn't care for the mustard yellow laces, so I replaced them with black laces. These boots look really cute with jeans tucked in, and are light-weight to wear for long periods of time. Makes it easy to walk in, too. I'd definitely recommend these for warmth and fashion combined.
