I have just bought this pair and have been breaking it in as the unusual cold front blows through much of the United States this November. While I have had warmer shoes, I'm finding that this pair nevertheless does an adequate job keeping out the cold in sub-freezing temperatures. The fit, as others have said, is a little large; based on their comments, I ordered one-half size smaller than I usually wear and it fits perfectly. A pleasant surprise I did not expect: the color actually looks better than the photographs on the website (a first in my online shopping experience).

I was looking for a pair of summer hunting boots and these fit the mold. They are light weight (actually the comment I made to my wife is that I felt like I was wearing house shoes), and the sole is not as stiff as a board. I tested the "non-insulated" claim by wearing them after work all evening in Texas during a 100 degree spell we had and my feet did not sweat. I was also concerned about the elastic binding on the sides after having a pair of Cole Haan boots that did not hold up after a year. It seams as if there are multiple layers of stretch materials and not just one layer so initially it looks as if they may hold up. The last concern mentioned in a previous review is about the pull loop on the back to assist in putting the boots on. I agree that it needs some preliminary reinforcement (even though I had no problems, it looks weak and I'm nervous after reading the review where the pull came undone).
All in all, these are fantastic, and Sorel's for this price?...can't beat it.

Boots are light and comfortable. Not waterproof at all. First day I wore them my feet were soaked. One of my main reasons for purchasing.

The color was right on from picks. I love the boot feel and look but for everyday wear. They are very lite! Only issue I have with them is they are a little hard to get on. But once on you have a boot look with the lightness of a feather.
