quality boot but heavy for a toddler

we purchased these boots for our 2.5 yr old for winter. we were impressed with the quality, weather resistance and the warm fuzzy liner. unfortunately they run a bit small and i'm afraid they may not last til the end of the season (she is a size 8 in other shoes, we got these in a 9 so she could grow into them but that may not happen). we were disappointed at how heavy the boots were. with all the lightweight technology out there, we assumed they would be a bit lighter since they are for toddlers. my own adult sorels are about the same weight and even i find them to be very heavy. i'm sure they'll come in handy when the temp drops, but whether or not i can get her to wear them is another thing...

My son wears a 1 and we ordered a 2. They are a little big but not crazy big. Love the boots. They keep him so warm while playing in the snow.

My grandson wore these boots daily for two Minnesota winters and they still look great and will pass down to younger brother.

I ordered these thinking they were good for my boy next year. They fit now and we couldn't be happier.
