My very first pair of AE shoes, several years ago, where the Mora 2.0 in Bourbon (no longer offered) and they're still my favorite to this day out of the 7 pairs of AE shoes I now own. I loved them so much I figured I'd go against my own rule and I recently purchase a second pair, this time in black.
I'm not sure if AE changed the material or manufacturing methods, but these shoes feel stiff, and the leather almost looks and feels like vinyl, but the biggest problem is the squeak... I get that shoes are going to squeak when leather rubs together, but these are embarrassingly loud. I feel like George Constanza from the Seinfeld episode where he has swooshing pants. Its embarrassing when walking around a quiet office. I've tried breaking them in, by wearing them outside or in loud environments, but they still squeak. I've tried AE conditioner cream and while that works a bit, it's short lived.
I've bought other AE shoes since then, and had no issues with other styles. I'm still hoping that maybe with enough wear, they'll eventually stop, but it's frustrating to always have to be conscious about where I'll be wearing them.

Stylish quality shoes

I purchased the Mora 2.0 in Brown Burnished Calf in 8.5D. I've found it to be a well built and comfortable shoe once worn in. A stylish and versatile shoe which receives many compliments.
Only quality concern I have is that the elastic connected to one of the buckles has become slightly loose or disconnected such that it sticks out at an angle.
Otherwise a good shoe at a good price point and I would recommend them to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My brown Mora shoes always catch the eye of my fellow coworkers. Not only is it beautiful to look at but it is also very comfortable to wear around. The only grip I have due to it being monk straps putting them on and off takes a bit too much time. Would recommend to anyone I know
