Classic Double Monk Strap

I purchased the brown and loved them right out of the box. I could not sneak up on anyone because they squeaked really bad; however, I rubbed the strap area with AE leather conditioner twice over a 48 hour period and the squeaks disappeared. They are one of the most beautiful pair of AE's that I own, and I own 10 as of this writing. The brown is almost a chocolate. Very comfortable.

Disappointed

I own several AE's and I can say that when I opened up the box today, I was disappointed. The quality of this line is not there. Alden makes a better shoe. Rancourt makes a better shoe. I won't be buying Allen Edmonds again. Spend the extra cash and invest in a better shoe with the other brands.

Great, Great Shoe! I purchase this shoe in brown, right out the box, I received nothing but compliments. Plus the comfort level was outstanding. Now, I plan on purchasing another pair in black.

Molded for your feet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the Mora 2.0 in bourbon. Initially I was not satisfied with the bourbon as it had striations in the coloring resembling tree bark. I subsequently applied a brown cream polish to blend it better and it looks great.
Fit: 11E, fits snug but not tight. Feels like it was custom made for me. After a few moments of warm up, the leather softens and begins to relax. After a few wears, it's firmly molded to your feet and comfortable as any shoe I own. I have walked miles at a time in these with no discomfort.
Style: double monk is badass. Looks great with jeans and the brown is more casual than the black. Looks equally stunning with a light colored suit.
Function: versatile and durable. The straps have an elastic component to ease access and can be positioned to remain in place like a slip on, if that's your fancy.
Overall, I have 5 pair of AE shoes and these are one of my favorites.
