Too Heavy, Too Wide

I ordered these and hoped that they would be great for a Christmas trip to Europe, but I returned them. They are HEAVY. Not a good walking shoe. I walked around my house for 1 min and my legs were tired. Also, I have a more narrow foot, but these were really, really wide. They look like a man's boot as far as width goes. I wear a 10 normally, and ordered the 9 1/2 based on reviews I had read, and they seemed to be the right length.
I ordered these a full size smaller as suggested by Review's comments. I wear a 7 1/2 and ordered a 6 1/2. My toes hit the tip of the shoe making them 1/2 size too small. Unfortunately, they were sold out so I'm out of luck in ordering these from Nordstrom. The width was larger than normal width and the boot very heavy and seems like they will keep your feet warm. I will remain hopeful they will be available sometime and somewhere as they're sold out in many other stores as well.
