Look stylish, but step carefully

This is my 4th pair of AEs and I can say the styling on this shoe is superb. I like the larger brogue perforations, they seem to more boldly exclaim their existence. The fit is comfortable and I am planning on relying on the rubber sole once snow hits. However, the Dark Chili scuffs easily, I have worn these shoes for a few months and they look more beat up than my Strands which I have worn for years. Put these shoes on, take a quiet breath and step carefully.

Poor Workmanship

The University Wingtips were return to you because of poor workmanship. I'm waiting for them to be replaced. I like the shoe but I hope the workmanship is better because the wait is long.

Good stylish shoe - watch the sizing though

I was looking for a stylish, modern shoe. With the 333 Last, this shoe looks very similar to a more stylish type, like say a To Boot New York for example. The shoe is a great looking shoe, and the added length certainly adds to the look.
It should be noted however that the shoe runs very long and slightly wide. I am normally a 10.5D and had to exchange my original selection for a 10E (I own mostly all AE shoes). I possibly could have even gone down to a 10D, but after I wore the shoes a bit I realized that the 10E should work just fine (it was on the cusp of 10D versus 10E where either would have worked satisfactorily). The colored lining (I purchased black, which had a blue lining, I believe the tans have an orange lining) is a nice plus. Not that anyone sees it, but it is pretty cool in my opinion.
Overall great shoe, but the 333 Last certainly is different than other AE selections so you need to take that into consideration. Provided you can find the correct fit (a size down in my case, 10.5D to 10E) and you are looking for a modern look, this is a fine shoe to get.

Shoes look great

The shoes look great. The color (Bob's Chili) is far better than I thought it would be; I am glad I ordered this combination. The reason I gave the shoes a 4 on comfort is because they are still new and not broke in yet. They are stiff and hence are probably not as comfortable as they will be after they break in. Overall the shoes are very nice and the quality is far better than anything I can get locally.
