I only wear AE shoes and although they don't seem as conformable (breaking in period?) than the McAllistair or the fifth street boots, they also look elongated and have a much more modern look. I'm not a big fan of the rubber sole so I'll probably upgrade to the leather when I'll get them re-crafted, but all together is a very fancy looking pair of shoes. The dark Chili tint is a little bit disappointing, I was hoping for a much more bold color, but it does look good. I don't want my review to be too negative, so I'll end it by saying that I will probably purchase this model again rather than trying a different one.

Size and width are inconsistent with my other AE shoes

I should have bought these in a store so I could try them on rather than trust AE to ensure consistency in the size/width of their high-end shoes. Instead, I purchased the same size and width as my other perfectly fitting AE shoes that I've had for several years. Unfortunately, the new shoes are both longer and wider than what I was expecting and, as a result, I have some great looking shoes that don't fit as well as they should.
