To be honest, I ordered the Dainite soles by accident. I was very disappointed when I saw my mistake. Then I wore them for a day. What a pleasant surprise. The traction is amazing. I love leather soles but they do tend to slip at times. You will have no such problem with the Dainite soles. Plus, you will not know the difference until the end of the day when you take them off and realize you wore rubber soles all day. You will not be disappointed.

I have just purchased a Black Pair, the are very comfortable Dress shoes, You can do some coordination with the provided blue laces. The rubber sole is comfortable, and slip resistant, and other good option if there is a little snow or rain. You do not have to be concerned with leather soles getting wet

A top quality shoe that grabs the eye

I am a classic "shoe horse" who views shoes as both a fashion statement expressing my personality and an important piece of my professional wardrobe. I purchased the University Wingtips as a fall and winter accessory due to the danite sole. By way of comparison, I also own Crown Aristocrafts and Magnanni wingtips. The University have garnered more compliments in a shorter time than either of those other shoes. They are quite comfortable, and I find that the last fits perfectly. I disagree with the reviewer who said they run wide...I thought the fit was true to size. The perforations are wider than say my Crown Aristocrafts, yet the ability to have them in Walnut is great.

Great Shoes

I bought my first pair of Universities when they first came out. I now own all three colors. They started out very comfortable and continue to improve. I own 3 other pair of AE shoes and these are my favorites. The styling is unique and they really stand out. I hope they become available in more colors or finishes
