great boot but runs big-for me!

After reading the reviews and the sizing of this boot, I did size up a half size. I am normally around size 6 to a 6.5 so I ordered a 6.5. They are BIG! I could have gone with a 6 and would have been fine. I will still wear them with very think socks so my feet won't slip around in them. Another thing, one of the boots is slightly darker than the other. Up side is that they are EXTREMELY comfortable. I am a teacher and I can wear them all day while teaching!

After reading other reviews, I decided to order half a size up, and I'm glad I did. Overall, the boots fit well, but they still feel a bit snug on the top of my feet. I'm hoping it's just a matter of breaking them in because I LOVE the look of these boots. They're a great way to "dress up" a simple pair of black leggings. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.

Sizing not predictable

I wear an 8.5 normally and own the Toronto lace ups in 8.5 and they fit perfectly so I ordered this tall boot in 8.5. The 8.5 fit fine for length but was just too tight over the arch where you see the seam. I buy Sorel for the style AND the comfort and after trying to talk myself into them because they were CUTE I finally admitted I would never wear them if I kept them because they were just too painful on the top of the arches to keep on even for 20 minutes. I got a size 9 and they fit much better...still a little tight over the arch but not painful. There is no way I could size up again or they would be too sloppy in the toe and heel. I am keeping the 9. I wish Sorel sizing was more universal as I usually have to order my Sorels and its really annoying to have to keep exchanging. I usually rely on reviews so I hope this one is helpful!

i'm wearing them now!
amazing! very comfortable! really cute! i will stick with my caribou for heavy snow/snow shoeing, but this is my go-to for slushy streets. i've worn them in NYC for this past month, even brought them on vacation to reykjavik, and so far they are waterproof and aren't having any issues with discoloration. i can wear it to work without having to change into other shoes, or even out after work, because they looks so nice. if you have a narrow foot you will be fine with your normal size, but anyone else should go up a half size. the leather is really soft and does stretch a bit with wear.
