My Favorite Boots

I have had these boots for several months and have worn them daily. The first time was to watch a parade in Vermont while standing on snow and ice for an hour. My feet were toasty warm and I wasn't even wearing wool socks. I am a perfect 5.5 or European 36 and these boots fit exactly with just enough room for a pair of thick socks or two pairs of thin ones. I have never had anyone comment on boots I was wearing until I wore these as they are really stylish. These boots are perfect for wearing when you need boots but don't want to look like you just came in from logging or working on the farm. In short, I love them, and they still look like new even after constant use this winter here in Vermont.

Perfect City Snow Boot!

I get stopped all the time by women asking about my "Glacy Explorer" boot in the pebble color. This is the most appropriate 'I think' for city snow. I also have the Classic Caribou that I use when upstate/Catskills, but the "Glacy" is my NYC go to! It's not a heavy boot and easy to put on and off. It's chic and fun and warm....what else is does one need??

I got tired of having cold feet in winter and bought these. Toasty warm! Love them. In other shoes, I sometimes get arch tightness, some foot pain, etc -- I don't get any of that with these. Very comfortable. While these are obviously not dress boots, I wear them everywhere: church, grocery store, mom-around-town, walking the dogs, school functions. They are sophisticated enough for a snow boot that is looks stylishly practical, but not dumpy.
They are fine on all types of flooring (not slippery) and are comfortable for driving (not too bulky). The treads are great on snow and white/bumpy ice, and pretty good on slick ice as well. I've worn these for two months straight, and the treads and uppers both still look like new.
My pant legs staydown over the tops nicely, either straight/narrow pants or boot cut. You could easily tuck in leggings.
My typical shoe size is 12AA, and a lot of 12s run too short. In athletic shoes I tend to take a 13. These Sorels are fine -- my toes don't hit the end at all and because they have laces, they don't get too loose in width. However, there is still plenty of toe wiggle-room which helps with warmth. I wear cotton socks in these and do just fine. I highly recommend these.
