I absolutely LOVE these boots. I will wear them even on non-rainy days. After reading reviews, I sized down and they fit perfect. I'm normally a 5 1/2 and the 5 fit perfect. I bought the welly socks to go with them and they do make the boots a little harder to take off...a little tight in the ankle area but not bothersome. Very pleased with my purchase.
Hunter boots are great! If you have wide feet like me I recommend just buying your size and not sizing down like some people might say.
Mine arrived in the mail very quickly, within 2 days, but they arrived with oxidation on it-- blooming patches of a waxy looking film all over the boots. The Nordstrom representative told me that it's a natural process that happens to all boots, then showed me the $7 Hunter buffer solution to use to removed the waxy looking film all over the boots. Definitely an investment, but it's worth the cost!
This is the first pair of Hunter boots I have purchased, though I've wanted a pair for quite some time. Living in Phoenix, AZ, I couldn't really justify purchasing rain boots. We just moved to Utah, and I learned I could not only wear these boots for rain, but snow too! I took the opportunity to grab these boots while they were on sale, and am so glad I bought them. They're super cute on, and fit me better than the original tall Hunters. I love that they don't scream "rain boots." Even my husband said, "those are cute!" when I tried them on, so I know I found a winner.
Although the sizing says to order a size down if you're half size, I ordered an 8 and a 9, and the 9 ultimately fit better. My toes hit the front with the 8s, and my toes were really squished when I paired the size 8 with the fleece Hunter socks. The 9s are pretty roomy with thin socks on, and are really perfect with the fleece welly socks. I typically wear an 8.5 in Cole Haan and Tory Burch boots for reference, and I have a normal width foot. I haven't worn the boots out yet, but I did wear them around the house for 30ish minutes and took them for a stroll around the yard (it's 23 degrees outside now), and my feet stayed very warm and comfortable with the fleece socks on. All in all I love them, and can't wait to wear them in the slush and rain!

Prosstylish, comfortable, great value
My first pair of Hunters. Can't wait for a good rainy day to wear these boots. I have narrow, size 8.5 feet, ordered the size 8 and they fit perfectly. I have muscular calves, but the boots are roomy enough to wear over leggings or skinny jeans. Thick socks in the winter won't be a problem, either. I'm 5'4", and the boot hits just below the knee. They're chunky and cute, and will look great with just about anything. Perfect for NYC rain and slush!
