I wear a lot of Merrell's for the comfort (fallen arches) so I thought I would try this boot ~ so comfortable! They are also waterproof & perfect to wear in the slush & snow. I have to say they are not the warmest, but I have other boots for when it's really cold. I will be wearing these a lot more often, since it's never really that cold. Plus, they are good looking as well ~ I love them!
Some things you can tell are quality from just looking at them. These boots are a perfect example. Stylish, warm, comfortable, WATERPROOF, and an excellent sole for serious traction. I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for a quality boot that will stand the test of time.

I was excited to see the calf dimensions and 16 inch height on this waterproof 'dress' boot from Merrill. I opened the box and loved the way they looked. They would have looked great with pants or casual dresses. However, I could not zip them up. My calf is 15 1/4 inches; the specs said "15 1/2" calf circumference. Stretches to fit wide calf." I had to take them back. I gave them 4 stars because they looked great; I liked the quality of the leather; and the foot bed was very comfortable.
This boot is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately this boot does not 'expand to fit a wide calf' as advertised. I while my foot fit fine I couldn't get the zipper zipped more than an inch or two as the lower calf circumference is extremely tight. It's unfortunate as if this boot fit better if buy a pair in every color
