Great Pattern
PostedFebruary 10, 2015
I really wanted to love this dress, but sadly returned it. The pattern and colors are beautiful, but this dress doesn't have a lot of shape and isn't flattering on. Usually I am a size 44 in Missoni (I'm 5'6 and 128 lbs.), but I had to order a 42 as it runs a bit big. The other problem for me was it was too short, though it probably would have worked with tights and boots. I bought this dress on sale, but honestly, it's not worth the over $1,000 price tag it carries, or even the sale price for that matter.

Tricky pattern

Prosvery cute., hard to order.
Great dress. Very fun and very comfortable. The problem is that the print varies from dress to dress, so it looks like you are ordering the one in the photo, but the one you receive may have different pattern placement. It took 3 tries to get one I liked.

EXQUISITE

Prosstunning, luxuriouscomfort, ultimate quality
I can't say enough. Exceptional fabric, as Missoni is known for, with a luxurious hand, -lighter-weight knit that drapes to perfection with just enough stretch, and sumptuously soft.
Absolutely standout color and pattern -so very Missoni, and a stunningly flattering example at that -the green-blue/black coloration is eye-catching, yet softly inviting, like colors of a tropical ocean shore ... and the pattern cuts a svelte silhouette with the very dark colors softening the shoulders while the change in color from top to bottom slims the front, and the striking patterns in back really nip in the waist.
Tremendous range -casual resort/weekend wear with refined flat sandals, stand-out office wear with simple pumps, even for an evening out -nice dinner, or carousing for cocktails with more daring pumps ... and it's an absolute knockout with tall boots. (My pick are the grey suede Vince Camuto over-the-knee boots on Anniversary now. Not designer, but the perfect simple lines and luxurious suede that ooze refined luxury.)
Very slim, but not tight -the cut and fabric really just follow your body perfectly. More snug on top and slightly looser through the bottom --I'm quite slim but toned, a 0-00, but 26 premium denim as I have just slightly fuller rear and thighs.

Prosblahh
First off - I am a big Missoni fan...and look forward the adding another Missoni piece to my wardrobe every year during the Anniversary sale. But this dress just left me blahh! Lovely pattern, great construction, perfect weight. However, the dark blue made me feel like it was pulling my shoulders down. I tried the other color (cream shoulders going to rose tones) and the cream was too sheer on top (not work appropriate). The fit was slightly off. I'm typically a 38 or 40. The 38 was way too clingy and the 40 as very loose (however Nordies excellent tailors could have remedied that problem). Not the wow factor I was looking for from Missoni!
