I wanted a very simple, everyday black boot I could spend all day standing or walking around in that was also resistant to the rainy northwest weather. This pretty much fit the bill but, as far as long wear comfort goes, it doesn't quite hold up. Even with narrow feet, the narrow cut of the boot can get uncomfortable after a few hours of wear. It also doesn't insulate very well in cold weather (when I got home after almost 12 hrs of wear, hopped in a warm shower and the water felt boiling hot on my feet -- so they were very cold).
All that aside though, the look and make of this style is well done and I can tell they will last me years. They're easy to slip on and stretch around the calf for a snug fit - great for adding leg warmers but the zipper doesn't go to the top so it can be tricky.
Hopeful these will get more comfortable the more I wear them in.
These boots fit perfectly. I hate boots that flare out at the calf, making your legs look larger than they actually are. These boots don't do that! They are a little hard to take off, but it's worth it for the snug look.
The soles seem a little thin, so I doubt they will last longer than a year. But I'm really happy for now.
I have been on the lookout for a low-heeled classic boot and finally found it! The leather is a nice quality and I love the stretch back panel. I highly recommend this boot if you are looking for a comfortable & stylish boot.
