I bought these for my fiance recently and he loves them! My fiance wears a size 16 and finding shoes can be difficult for him that fit and are comfortable on his feet. After two failed attempts to find nice black shoes, he found these very comfortable. He says that they are not too stiff to be dress shoe and can be worn casually and when he is working on his feet all day.
This boot looks really nice, but not quite nice enough for slacks/dress pants. I tried to pull it off, but for me they were just a little too casual. You're getting your typical Clark's quality in these boots. Not super awesome, but not cheapo either. If you've work Clark's before, you know what to expect. If you're new to Clark's, these boots are worth the price you pay when they are on sale. I think full price on these is a bit high for the quality of the materials and construction. Sometimes I wish they'd spend less time on the fancy packaging and more time on better construction. Mine were the wide size, and they are not wide like you'd expect, so keep that in mind. Clark's makes no claims these are waterproof, and I can confirm they are not. If you're going to be standing or walking in lots of water, don't wear these. Overall, good boot for the money. Just make sure you set the right expectation for yourself.
