The Strand in Bourbon is a great color that fits between Walnut and Brown and really shows off the detail of the shoe. Would definitely recommend.

I bought these on the most recent Bourbon sale and I could not be happier. Both the web and the Holiday catalog photos do not do this color justice. As with all my AE purchases I was not disappointed, the color is a beautiful deep hue of chestnut brown, with exceptional workmanship and soft supple leather, the Strand has become an instant favorite and gets rave reviews on the street. I like it so much I'll have to get the Daltons and MacAllisters in this color while they're available.

Bourbon strands

I was fortunate enough to acquire a pair of Strands in bourbon just around the time they were being officially discontinued (last December). I have never regretted my purchase and it's nice to see AE has brought back the line, even for a "limited time". The color is stunning; richer than walnut, which I often thought was too light. Treat yourself to a pair of these, or a pair of bourbon Daltons, while you still can. And at the price they're going for right now...it's practically a steal.
