I've never owned a wellmade dress shoe before. I felt the need to venture into this class of shoe because I can appreciate craftsmanship and the materials used also I couldn't stand using cheap uncomfortable shoes any longer. When I tried them on I instantly knew they were worth the price paid. Most comfortable dress shoe I've ever worn. The leather is thick and of high quality. It smells like a well made leather baseball glove. Truly am extremely satisfied

I was disappointed in the "deep chilie" color of the new shoes because they are much darker than the other 3 pairs of deep chilie Allen Edmunds shoes that I have, including the older Mcallister shoes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shoe was a gift to my nephew to get married in. Shoes looked great and my nephew said they felt just as good at the end of the night as they did when he first put them on...Fantastic.
