The product was defective and required returning. The lace eyelets were not properly drilled.

My second pair of AEs. Same fit as the Strand (same last). I am a fairly average-sized foot and find the E fits better due to the slenderness of the last, as I stand on my feet at work for 10+ hrs. Black matte finish looks perfect. The wingtip against which all others stand.

Quality not what it used to be

I have owned and enjoyed a number of pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes over the years. Sent this pair back because they were no where near the quality of my previous AE shoes. Left and right shoes were a different width. The color was noticeably different between the two shoes. I have older factory seconds from AE that were better built.
