I purchased a pair of McAllisters (my first Allen Edmonds) from a major department store and initially loved the shoe, but quickly noticed a significant lump in the sole under the ball of my left foot. I wore them a couple times hoping some break in would fix the issue, but no luck. I ended up exchanging them at the store and after wating another week for delivery... the new ones have the same issue, in both the left and right shoe! These are great looking wingtips, but the quality is just not there for the price. The fact that it happened with two separate pairs is especially disconcerning. Sadly I think my only option at this point is to return and try something else.

I've owned several pairs of Allen Edmonds before. The quality and appearance of these shoes is A++. I wore my first pair for seven years. After two re-sole's, they were still the best looking, best fitting shoe in my closet.
