Versatile shoe with great details

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The McAllister should be a staple in any gentleman's closet, whether you are traditional or modern. The sleek yet classic design makes any outfit better. The shoe is incredibly versatile, and you will get a lot of use from this shoe.
It was a little squeaky at first, but was fixed with leather conditioner. The only element of concern is the amount of "spring" in the shoe, and it appears to be increasing with wear, which is not the case with my Fifth Avenue. It is a small detail, and many people may like the "spring". Shoe trees and rest between wear is a standard practice.
Again, small detail, and I am looking forward to many years with my McAllister.

One of the best shoes for all occasions

Comfortable Classic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the McAllister and purchased them in brown and bourbon. I'm tempted to purchase other colors to round out my collection. Compared to the Strand and Fifth Avenue, the McAllister seems more comfortable and wraps around my feet like a second skin. It's my go-to shoe when I know I am going to have a busy day because I know my feet will not be sore at the end of the day.

It's a Small World

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in Kuwait a few months ago, chasing a contract with a new customer. My representative met me at my hotel and we sat for breakfast. We discussed the upcoming opportunity and then left for our meeting. As we were waiting for our transportation, my representative looked down and noticed my shoes. "Allen Edmonds?", he asked. "Yes," I replied. "McAllister." I looked down at his feet. "Jefferson?" He laughed. We went to our meeting. As we sat, the customer said he liked my shoes and asked what they were. I told him they were Allen Edmonds. My friend said his were too. The customer laughed and said he had several pair at home. Later that evening I was at a dinner and five of seven of the other people were wearing Allen Edmonds. Great minds think alike.
I ordered my first pairs of Allen Edmonds 20 years ago and have never looked at others. It seems many others feel the same.
