Excellent quality with a modern flourish while nodding to tradition

As a child I had always admired my father's footwear. Every day he would wear a pair of walnut brogues to work either with a suit or dark blue jeans. To me this image solidified in my mind to become my perception of what a man and a father should look like so unsurprisingly after I started working, got married and had some children of my own, I looked back on this image with a desire to replicate its effect. When I buy a product I spend a lot of time comparison shopping and I examined several brands and models before I decided on the McAllisters. They were everything I expected and my expectations were high. They are a comfortable shoe with a very distinguished look that can be worn with a plethora of outfits (though, like my father, I favor dark blue jeans with mine and occasionally Comme Des Garcon olive green chinos for a more daring look) I suggest, as does this website, that if this is your first pair of AEs, you get measured at a store before you purchase. My shoe size for sneakers is 11-11 1/2 depending on the brand for for my McAllisters I ended up geting a 10 1/2 Amazing quality shoe. Very beautiful.

Favorite pair of AE that I own

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my pair of Mcallisters in Merlot. It's such a beautiful color for a great pair of shoes. I have wide feet, even other EEE shoes of other lasts I felt some pain, but with the McAllisters and the ones from that last, it is extremely comfortable.

Another excellent pair of AEs...

This is my second pair of McAllister shoes in 11.5 A. Given I have very narrow feet, AE is the best shoe company in the world. I have these in the discontinued Brown and in Walnut Calf. The fit and finish is second to none. I would highly recommend these as a staple in the modern day men's wardrobe.
