What I like most about these shoes is the "swag points" I get when I wear them. Not bad for a 58 year-old!

I cant begin to describe how great this shoe really is. It's got everything: style, comfort, and craftsmanship. I highly recommend this shoe to everyone.
Been wearing this shoe for the past 2 months now without any problems. You can dress this shoe up or dress it down, good for really any occassion.

The rugged sole and Blue laces catch the comments

I bought these in March 2012 as a WebGem. They were modified with the rugged soles and blue laces. These were 'wear-ready' the minute I put them on.
What is especially enjoyable is having a quasi-custom pair of shoes at a remarkably reasonable price. I travel frequently and am asked regularly "where did you get those shoes?". Several occasions this has occurred with Europeans, who seem shocked that such an awesome shoe could be handmade here in the United States.
Well done AE. These are a fine pair and I am looking forward to my next pair soon.

Wonderful shoe

I bought a pair in red and they are easily the most comfortable shoes I've even worn. There is no break in period and they were literally ready to go right out of the box. I have gotten numerous compliments on them and one person even said they wished they were more red. Obviously variations will occur but I like the understated coloring on mine. I am thinking about getting the blue and olive colored pairs, as well. I wear orthotics and I needed to go up a half size (as compared to my other AE shoes) to accomodate them. I also purchased the matching Cottonwood belt and am pleased with the overall look.
