Runs a bit large

I have 2 other pairs of AEs on the same last that fit perfectly, but this one ran about half a size large. Other than that, it's a beautiful shoe that the picture doesn't really do enough justice. I'll be returning it for a half size down. Hopefully that works out.

Softest leather shoe I have ever owned

Comfort: 11/10
This is the most comfortable dress shoe I have ever owned! The leather is so soft and flexible, it hardly leaves any creases from wear
Appearance 9/10
I understand that these shoes are hand crafted, so with these in particular, these shoes can look slightly different from another pair of the same shoe. The painting on the shoe may differ from an another pair because of the way the factory worker may have sprayed the leather differently. That may be a positive or negative thing. For the sake of uniqueness and appreciation of a hand crafted shoe, this is a plus. But if you want more than one pair thinking each pair will look exactly the same, I got bad news for you. Overall, the appearance of the shoe is great. The brogue medallion at the toe is very well stamped and never distorted. The brogue detailing is also good. One thing I want to add is that The distressed appearance starts to take form once you start wearing the shoe and begin flexing the leather from normal walking.
Sizing 10/10
I believe sizing is very well done on this shoe. and true to size. Allan Edmonds recommend seeing a rep to size your feet up. The last that this shoe is build on is very comfortable.

Bought second hand...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And can't wait to buy a pair of these new. The color is striking and the red laces really catch the looks of everybody. I will be looking to purchase different color laces because as an Arizona State Alum, the red/blue combo is too similar to UofA.
I look forward to getting these recrafted and purchasing new shoes in different colors.
