Got a sample like 2 years ago and was determined to have this fragrance one day. Even tried the sample again right before purchasing to make sure i absolutely wanted it. So what that means is that I LOVE the initial scent but I later realized that the scent after it "melts" into your skin is the type of smell I CANT STAND! I had gone out one day and had been around people. Got home and smelled a scent on me that I dd not recognize and for sure thought it was someone else's perfume that had gotten on me from earlier. I remember saying how nauseating it was and basically trashing the person's choice in perfume. Just a few days ago did I discover that it was this. It was MY scent!
Thats not to say its a bad scent, its just one that Im not a fan of. Im horrible at describing smells and am not familiar with keynotes so I'll just say that the "melted" or after-smell is very deep and warm. Suffocating. In the same realm of cocoa butter(doesnt smell like it but its the same type of warmth). Im kinda sad since I had been saving up and it ended up not being a scent I want to wear.

Love this scent. Can be worn in summer and winter. Not overpowering.
It's funny how you can dismiss something the first time around and then end up falling in love with it! I was at Sephora last year and was browsing fragrances when I came across 'Si' and thought I'd give it a try as it's been around for almost 7 years, always popular and often heavily advertised. Smelling it from the bottle I didn't like it much if at all, yet later that week I caught the most gorgeous scent from a lady who was walking past me in the store aisle and I just had to ask her what it was. Well imagine my surprise when she told me it was G.A's Si! Went back to Sephora and this time made sure to spritz some on my wrist, rather than dismiss it downright from the tester bottle. And what a difference that made...a yummy, almost gourmand fragrance that reminds me very much of YSL's Black Opium, yet somehow 'greener' and sweeter. The opening note is a combination of Cassis, Patchouli, Vanilla and Rose, and I get a strong wine note which reminds me of a freshly opened bottle of Rioja. Very shortly after that I get some wood, spice and berries. The patchouli in particular is a very dominant note throughout so you'd probably have to be a fan of it to like this. The dry down is a powdery, woody/earthy scent which is sweet but not overly so. A perfect fall or winter fragrance as it's very comforting. Wearing this always gets me compliments. Just keep in mind that it's best to go easy with this as the sillage is powerful and the longevity is very good too - I get around 6 hours or more.
