Sadly, it's Just Not for Me

The quality of most Dior products is impeccable, and it's rare that I'm disappointed with anything from their cosmetics line. The packaging is gorgeous, but my praise ends there. The different textures and shades are a great concept but they don't blend together, so it's frustrating not being able to create the "multifaceted look" that's promised. The lack of pigment is the worst letdown. Even with a primer, the "matte" shade had very little color payoff and the iridescent shades had none at all. The latter can be used for a bit of highlighting, but without any pigment there's no color story, and I bought this palette specifically because I don't have these shades in my collection. In retrospect, I wish I had stopped trying to make the palette work for me and simply returned it. In looking at all the positive reviews, this product clearly works well for a lot of people and it's just not for me. I'll continue to buy Dior and won't hesitate to try new eyeshadows.
This beautiful combination color palette was just what I needed to lift my spirits while home sheltering in place! Adding a bit of glamour to an otherwise disconcerting stay-at-home was just what I needed! Thank you for your timely home delivery! What a special treat!
I’ve had this palette forever and I’m probably going to end up buying the same one again. The colors are easy to use, and I can apply them lighter for work or build them up later on in the day. These colors go really well with my other Dior palettes as well. I work 12+ hour shifts and these last all day (I do use an eyeshadow primer). I’m not sure if they make it anymore, but I have a shimmer overlay by Dior that I often put on top of this eyeshadow once I’m all done and it amplifies it all so well.
