I have a very active 3 year old, who plays outside most of the day. These are by far the best shoes I've ever purchased for him. The close toe and traction on the sole make hiking, running and everyday play just great. He's been splashing in puddles, and they dry out quick. Easy to hose off mud and dirt to keep looking clean. I bought 1/2 size bigger to leave some room for growth, and they stay on without the back slipping off.
We have purchased Keen sandals for my son in the past and have never been disappointed. The shoes arrived quickly and no shipping charge!! I love my son having a quality sandal that protects his toes when he plays outdoors and also his feet can breathe in the heat of the summer. Having a shoe with traction on the bottom is another plus, as he can play in the water and I don't worry about him slipping. The colors are vibrant. The shoes are easy to put on and take off. These are great quality shoes that will last a long time.
We just put these shoes on for the first time, but my son says they are uncomfortable because they are heavy. We decided that they run big and are perhaps a little too big, as well as his living in flip-flops all summer and not used to wearing sneakers. However, we're going to keep them because these are great alternatives to those times wear flips flops just aren't a great idea because of terrain or walking long distances. He loves them, he's just in summer vacation mode.
