The most comfortable boots I've worn straight out of the box. Very happy with the purchase, definitely buying another pair in the future. I wore these for 3 days in a roll then went back to my Nike shoes but rather wear my boots which were a lot more comfortable. My usual size is a 10.5 but sized down half a size and they fit perfect.
I've wanted a pair of 1000 mile for years and wife recently gave them to me as a birthday gift. Wow, what an amazing boot. Super stiff and excited to break them in. The in insole does a much better of of providing some arch support vs similar boots I've worn. I wear a 9.5 in Cole Haan dress shoes and my Red Wing Beckam's are a size 9. I got the 1000 mile in size 9 and they are perfect!
Really nice pair of boots. I looked at the RedWing Iron Rangers as well and thought this was more versatile as it had a bit less of a work boot feel. The leather is really nice and shows natural wear over time. The only drawback is the leather sole may limit your use in wet weather. I order a half size down and probably could have gone a full size down. I'm a 10 in most shoes, AE Park Avenue, Converse, Nike. I ordered a 9.5 and it is slightly big.
