These are the perfect modern combat boot at a great price. And apparently everyone else thinks so, too. The first day I wore them, I went into a Starbucks and 3 other women (including a barista) came in wearing these in the span of 1 hour. Everyone had the same color – dark brown. And everyone wore them with the same outfit – black skinny jeans with a plaid flannel. After trying them with many outfits, I think they do look best with either jeggings, tights or the skinniest of skinny jeans – normal skinnies may look bulky since the boots fit totally snug around your shin. Sometimes I unlace the top 2 holes to let them hang a little looser. Because they do fit snug, it does rub uncomfortably against my shin if I walk in them for a long distance. They are otherwise very comfortable, and I assume once I've broken them (and my shins) in, they'll stop irritating me. They also have that real-leather smell. They seem to run true to size, but you might think they run a tad bit small. I got my size (6.5) but with winter socks, I may have been better with a 7.

I love these boots, i bought these in stone a few years back. I regret i never purchased this color.. The awesome thing is it was on sale this time and i bought one for me and for my 3 year old daughter. Now we can look like twins when we wear them.
I wear a 9 1/2 but you can get a 10 for extra room for thick socks.. They run true to size and the color is accurate.
