love the style hate the shape

I guess I'll be the one dissenting voice here. Of course everyone loves the fringe and I got the studded version which looks amazing. This is some of the nicest fringe I've seen. The leather really throws smell. I love hearing the swooshing of the fringe and the bag will definitely garner attention and complements. I have a boho/southwest vibe so I was drawn to this bag but it could be a bit of overkill so this should be considered against other similar accessories/boots, etc . My major gripe is with the shape. Let me start by saying you will by no means be able to fit all that is shown in the stock photo- I have a wallet, sunglasses, eyeglasses, small makeup bag, coin purse, phone charger, small pouch (4"x4") and keys and that's the limit. You would never be able to put an umbrella and tablet in this! And forget about a massive sunglasses case. I bought this during the anniversary sale and have used it 3x to go out. Each time I'm dying to switch back to my Longchamp tote. Carrying this on the arm means you can't get into it while on your shoulder, the zipper opening is smaller than the widest point of the bag. And because it's slim things get stacked on top of each other. So you have to take it off each time and dig around - not a minor thing as far as convenience is concerned. Considering how many times I have to reach for my keys, wallet, Chapstick etc. it gets annoying. Carrying it in hand means the fringe will be hitting you mid calf and besides a hobo isn't meant to be carried in hand. Also, while on the seat of my car I still need to fidget with the shape which inevitably falls over since there's no bottom structure. I've had things fall out of this bag each time I've used it because it's almost filled to the top (with only those essentials I mentioned) or because the shape can't sit up properly. If you can't hang this bag somewhere, say at a restaurant, you'd have to put it on its side on the ground :( . That's very a painful thing to do considering the price and type of leather. I own Frye's Deborah studded distressed tote and I have no qualms about using that and banging it around a bit. I guess you get spoiled when you carry a tote because you can throw the world in there and still relatively easy fetch it out. But that aside, this isn't exactly a bag you want to throw around so how do you baby it ? My handle is already dented after hanging it on doorknobs here and there. Long story short, I'm a Frye lover, and we all love the style but the shape of the bag is limiting and inconvenient and I won't carry it more than a day or two at a time. Worth keeping coupled with the fact it needs to be babied? I can't attest to how the leather will hold up. Frye please make this in another shape! (And p.s. Keep away from cats! :) )

Amazing Handbag for Fall

Proscool, gorgeous, on trend
I purchased this handbag after reading all the rave reviews not sure if I would love the fringe. When it arrived and I put it on my shoulder I knew that this was the perfect bag for me! I purchased the black color and love everything about this bag. From the feel of the leather which is soft to the strap being the perfect length. The bag is not heavy for a leather handbag with plenty of room for all my personal items. Definitely recommend purchasing this bag because you will use it this season and many more to come.

Prosgorgeous, luxurious, well made
This bag is gorgeous. The leather is soft and the whiskey color is just gorgeous. The bag is very well made and feels very luxurious. I am in love with this purchase and highly recommend it.

When I first saw this bag, I said I gotta have it. I have received so many compliments when I carry it. I just wish I had purchased it during the sale.
